gasoline heart

Natalie Heisey

Verse 1

Black top burning under my feet,Another dead-end job, another bitter defeat. He calls me "baby," thinks he owns my soul, But I'm a wildfire, about to lose control. Got gasoline pumping, straight into my veins, Ready to ignite, break through rusty chains.

Chorus

my engine, revving up high,Leaving the wreckage in the rearview sky.No looking back, no apologies to make, Just burning rubber for goodness sake. Hear the roar of a woman unleashed, A gasoline heart, forever on speed

Verse 2

Used to play nice, used to play the game, Smile on my face, hiding all the pain But the pressure's building, a crack in the dam, Gonna flood this town, show them who I am. No more holding back, no more playing small, I'm a hurricane who will blow it all.

Bridge

They try to tame us, try to keep us down, But we're a force of nature, shaking the ground. We are the rebels, the fighters, the free, Burning a path for the world to see.

 Chorus

Oh my engine, revving up high, Leaving the wreckage in the rearview sky. No looking back, no apologies to make, Just burning rubber for goodness sake. Hear the roar of a woman unleashed, A gasoline heart, forever appeased.

Outro ending (Repeat and fade) x4

Gasoline heart, gasoline heart, Burning, burning, burning...
