Sipping my coffee, basking in sunlight
I watch the world hurry by
on their way to happiness and heartache,
to work, to school, to play;
I cherish these in between moments
wherein the past can no longer hold sway
the future remains shrouded in mystery
And I simply am, suspended in time.

Lovely written, your poem captures the essence of mindfulness and the beauty of living in the present moment. It contrasts the rush of daily life with the serenity found in stillness and reflection.
Thank you! Being mindful is terribly difficult for me, but when it does happen, I try to hold on to that moment as long as I can.
We are all suspended in time. Nicely written
All of us feel this dissociated from the world at times, and I personally believe it is those moments we must live for… great write, it reminds me of the short story: The Man Who Walked On The Moon by JG Ballard.
