God's Grace

Kurt Philip Behm

Intellect

and reason ...

bridesmaids of the soul

Where faith weds

to hope ...

salvation’s bell tolls

Free will

as gifted

the essence of man

Inviting

transcendence

—  God’s grace to command

Kurt, this feels both devotional and philosophical in the best sense. The marriage imagery woven through faith, hope, intellect, and salvation gives the poem cohesion without overcomplicating it. And the movement into free will and transcendence at the close opens the reflection outward beautifully. Thoughtful and resonant work, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Thanks, I was listening to Kristofferson as I wrote it.
