Amazing but….

William Hromada

You were amazing, the way you held my heart like it was fragile glass. But you still left. I’m amazing too, I remind myself every morning, piecing together the fragments you left behind.

Your absence taught me my own strength. I’m amazing, standing tall where you once stood beside me. Yet in the quiet moments, I wonder why your amazing couldn’t stay with mine.

You left, and I’m still here, shining brighter on my own.
