I want to be everything all at once.
To take in life differently at the same time,
And yet be completely whole and one.
I yearn to dance in everything that is green and growing without music, dancing to a rhythm only a few find in their lives.
I yearn to take everything in all at once,
to see the beauty so deeply,
that it takes my breath away,
leaves me gasping for air in all it's wonder.
I want my head to fill with a million thoughts,
Full of the future and poems and a love forgotten in time.
But, there is also a part of me that wishes dance wildly, with clumsiness and without a care in the world,
Full of frenzied laughter and dirty dreams of beer in red plastic cups and smoke,
Only living for the moment, feeling the artifical beat and the pulsing crowd under the neon lights,
To be drunk and in love with the roar of the crowd, the flash of headlights and the spark of a lighter in the middle of the night.
I aspire to live in the in-between,
To dance apoun the knife between the whimsical and the real,
To live the best of both worlds.

Thanks for reading🫶
You are most welcome
Janey, this captures that restless desire to fully live before life slips by…whether through poetry, nature, crowds, dreams, love, or neon chaos. The ending brings it all together beautifully in that “in-between” space. Wonderful piece, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thanks, I appreciate it!!💕
