dormouse friend

while sitting in my garden rather late last night

it was nice and cool the stars were shining bright

the moon was shining brightly high up in the sky

suddenly from no where a dormouse caught my eye

he was very cute and very friendly to

looking for some food for a scrap or two

i sat there amazed as he wandered round

looking for some bird seed left there on the ground

it filled my heart with joy brought a smile to me

roaming round my garden roaming wild and free

i will hold the mouse in my memory
