As the night came, the darkness felt so heavy and intense,
as if I carried the weight of the sky; whatever it was, it felt so dense.
A suffocating heaviness bloomed inside my chest.
unrest, shadowlight, torment.
Perhaps I should have lifted my gaze to the sky and prayed to God to guide my way,
bent, pleading, astray.
But the night felt like a hole.
It’s like a magnet attracting happiness,
like souls were swallowed by emptiness, wandering souls stuck to the ground,
forced to adapt.
My heart just feels so dry, like a post-war battlefield.

There is pain and depression in this piece that speaks out of darkness. Well done
