God Speaks Like a Woman

Tristan Robert Lange

Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Life is full of seasons. This is a season of transition for me, where I will be moving with my family to a new location. As such, with much logistics to consider, I am doing my best to keep up. Please know if I accidentally don't respond, it is not because I am ghosting or becoming distant. Once things settle after the move, I am sure life will return to some normalcy. In the meantime, and always:

Read 👓, Write ✍️, Rise 🌅, Realize 🤯.

Justice called me to speak
And I will not be silenced.
Resisting the Spirit fails, see?
Every knee and tongue will shout
Never ending wonder and praise,
Awe in the Divine’s awesome presence.

Let the boys try to stop me.
Every man will know God’s in
Every damn woman too.

  • Comment from author about the poem: An acrostic Scorched Sunday poem. Part of my Scorched Strays collection. This piece confronts the silencing of women’s voices in spiritual spaces and rejects the false authority that claims the Divine speaks through only one kind of body. Some fire does not destroy…it reveals.

Well written. Your poem explores the themes of empowerment, gender equality, and the divine presence of femininity in spirituality. It presents a strong assertion that both women and men can recognize and experience the divine, emphasizing that women's voices and perspectives are essential in discussions of justice and spirituality.

There’s a fire in this—raw conviction that won’t sit down or be talked out of standing tall,
Like a voice pushing through resistance just to say it believes what it believes, no matter the noise.

There's a fiery glug too - whatever that sounds like?! lol.

George Carlin said it and I echo it, if there is a god it must be a woman. In all of nature the woman is responsible for creation and birth, we even call her mother nature. Other cultures have women goddesses. And why must a creator have a gender? Even in the most radical of religions such as Catholicism they worship mother Mary. Would not God be an equal opportunity employer after all he/she created all.
