I warned ya not to step into my territory.
I warned ya thousands and millions of times,
but you never listened to me.
I told ya you’d be lost if you left your mark on me,
but you didn’t listen to me.
I warned ya not to touch my soul that closely,
but you didn’t listen to me.
I warned ya not to cover me with your love,
but you didn’t listen to me.
I told ya not to hear too much of me,
but you didn’t listen to me.
I warned ya not to pluck the flowers from my garden,
but you didn’t listen to me.
I warned ya not to play in the grounds of my heart,
but you didn’t listen to me.
I warned ya not to come back to me
unless you meant to stay,
but you never listened to me.

Well written. Your poem revolves around themes of love, boundaries, and emotional safety. The poet articulates their desire to protect their heart and soul from being overwhelmed or damaged by another’s affections.
Thank you.
You understood it exactly the way I meant it.
You're so welcome, my friend🌹
A sad poem that implies that the lover never stays and that all warnings are neglected. Well done
I was expecting a big explosion in the end, but despite all your attempts, the situation remained the same. Are you now reconciled?
