How deep
The devotion
You enkindle
Within me,
That just the
Salt of your laughter,
Transforms all
In your comparison.
I would cross
Continents, to
Sweep the dust
From your feet,
Give my life,
To bring you
The smallest
Of comforts.
Some believe, that
This secret worship
Is the cruelest
Form of love;
Learning to hide
In ceaseless silence,
Able to cherish
Only from afar.
But I will never stop,
I will keep on,
Aching, loving,
Aching, loving,
Vowing in earnest
To protect your peace,
Even if it means
Mine must die.
