The rich green grass in the meadow field
sways from a puff of mountain wind;
a Cardinal lifts song in the willow tree,
even the clouds floating high in the sky
weep with joy as they pass by.
Flowers are extra vibrant today
and a deer comes so close to touch my hand;
a song gently rises from within my heart
and I know the notes, nothing new,
the song of my journey leading back to you.
Roads of adventure seem to lead me away,
the earth vibrates with every step I take
and as I wander along these pathways of joy
I see in creation's beauty and grace
the love that shines from your radiant face.
Leaving to wander, compelled to explore,
I embrace the moments of wonder and awe.
Oceans, far mountains, they call out to me
but the treasure I cherish and hold so dear
is that all roads lead home where my restless fears
quietly fade and disappear
in a love that I hold forever near.
The best part of finding the exciting and new
is the joy of the journey, coming home to you.

Drawn away by adventure or distraction there is always the force that brings us back to a love left behind. Well written
