Verse

amethyste

Baby I give you breath

I do not fear that pregnancy is difficult

I write you down

Letter by letter

I look at you intently

You are my child I protect you

With all my force

And you make me whole

You give me blessings.

Not being a woman I can only imagine the feeling of carrying a child that you give breath and sustenance to. But having been a baby I seem to feel the comfort of being encapsulated and cared for. Well written
