Shall I leave the light behind?
It’s illuminating the hallway
Flickering
Incandescent
Ravishing
So seductive, I rely on its flame
It threatens to go out if I leave
Threatens to ignite if I stay
My hand cannot clench its own
No longer efficacious
It cannot fill the void presented
And still the light shines

A metaphor that may be seen different ways. Nicely written
Thank you Soren! How did you interpret it?
You are most welcome Allie my first interpretation is light is knowledge or truth and that it shines but when one is gone so is their truth yet while they stay it shines brightly and consumes them.
That is an interesting perspective, I appreciate your answer.
