I spilled coffee

Poet gangster

I spilled coffee on my thoughts
Woke the monsters in the house
The coffee threw them into shock
Now it’s riots at 2 o’clock

They’re making chaos in my mind
I’m trying to step between the lines
I joined their dance with all my body
For years I learned their choreography

But then the coffee woke me too
I sat the monsters down to choose
I stood up tall and spoke to them
And taught them all a different dance

Metaphor of the absurd in this fun poem of battle of the caffeine fiend. A fun read that has good rhyme and flow.
