Mutley Ravishes

"My heart`s lighter

Than a feather

Yet I got the heart

Of a warrior!"

Exclaimed the Monkey King

To the crowd

From his cloud

Short but it speaks in metaphor of incongruities resolved and of power from above. Well written

    Nicely said.

Rik, what a quietly masterful poem this is. The atmosphere feels tangible from the opening lines...cold latch, muttering radio, metal-grey yard...and then the Vermeer turn deepens everything beautifully. By the end, the room itself feels alive again through light and memory. “Light, remembers waking” is such a soft but profound closing image. Excellent write, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

This is a clear message of bravery!

Thank you! A fearful heart feels a lot heavier than a brave one.
