"My heart`s lighter
Than a feather
Yet I got the heart
Of a warrior!"
Exclaimed the Monkey King
To the crowd
From his cloud

Short but it speaks in metaphor of incongruities resolved and of power from above. Well written
Thanks, Soren.
You are most welcome
Nicely said.

Rik, what a quietly masterful poem this is. The atmosphere feels tangible from the opening lines...cold latch, muttering radio, metal-grey yard...and then the Vermeer turn deepens everything beautifully. By the end, the room itself feels alive again through light and memory. “Light, remembers waking” is such a soft but profound closing image. Excellent write, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Tristan, are you okay?!
This is a clear message of bravery!
Thank you! A fearful heart feels a lot heavier than a brave one.
