You’ve walked by my side in your own steady way.
Seventy-five rings on the heart of the tree,
Stronger and wiser for all turned to see.
You aren’t just a friend who has stood through the test,
You’re the keeper of memories, the one I love best.
So may this new chapter be gentle and bright,
Filled with soft mornings and stars in the night.

With a bond as strong as the one we've shared, spanning longer than any other friendship in my life except for the love of my life, who left this world, I've been reflecting on our connection. Despite the geographical distance that has kept us apart for many years, my thoughts have been filled with fond memories of our friendship. Knowing today is his special day, I poured my feelings into a poem - a heartfelt tribute, even if it may never reach his eyes.
