Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Life is full of seasons. This is a season of transition for me, where I will be moving with my family to a new location. As such, with much logistics to consider, I am doing my best to keep up. Please know if I accidentally don't respond, it is not because I am ghosting or becoming distant. Once things settle after the move, I am sure life will return to some normalcy. In the meantime, and always:
Read 👓, Write ✍️, Rise 🌅, Realize 🤯.

I woke up late
Began to contemplate
But was too irrate
There was too much on my plate
Not that I believe in fate
I feel locked in a crate
And forced to absorb hate
While told it’s a holy state
But I’m done taking the bait.

Well said. Your poem is rich in emotional depth and complexity, reflecting the weight of life's pressures and the tension between conforming to specific ideologies or states of being that others contest, as well as an intense feeling of disconnection among others.
Friendship, I think you really nailed the tension I was wrestling with here. Sometimes people can dress survival, burnout, or even emotional suppression up as something noble or ‘holy’ when really it’s just crushing the person underneath it. Glad that came through. I appreciate your thoughtful reading, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Good write T. And then a glug.... lol.
Orchi, the glug survives all things apparently. Even existential aggravation and spiritual exhaustion. Worse than a cockroach, methinks. 🤣 A true holy state indeed, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Apart from the absolutely superb rhyme, your theme is so on topic right now especially for trump fans kudos my dear Tristan for your absolutely window vision of our corrupt world. 🌹
Teddy, thank you so much, my dearest friend. And yes…there absolutely comes a point where the corruption, hypocrisy, and manufactured outrage become impossible to ignore anymore. I think a lot of us are all around exhausted by it all. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Totally agree with you 🌹
Tristan this poem leaves me with the feeling that a late arousal led to an irritable mood and the realization that there was too much to do. To be told that hate is a holy state is pretty much what we are told now days where every other country is to be hated and every other social class, economic class, race and gender are not to be trusted.
Soren, your observation about hate being presented almost as a virtue nowadays really is astute. It’s disturbing how easily division gets normalized and even moralized depending on who the target is supposed to be. Grateful for your thoughtful reading as always, my dear friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Most welcome my friend
I know the feeling only too well. A clever piece with gifted rhymes .I enjoyed reading
David, sadly I think far too many of us know this feeling these days. Just that sense of waking up already tired of the noise before the day even begins. Glad the piece resonated with you, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
This describes exactly what the anger stage of grief feels like.
Marissa, that is such an insightful reading of this piece. The more I sit with your comment, the more the poem really does echo the anger stage of grief…that sense of emotional overload, confinement, irritability, and being unable to peacefully process the weight of what’s happening around you. I genuinely had not considered that angle consciously while writing it, but I think you’re onto something very real there. Thank you again, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
I guess the state believes it's holy. How else could it live with itself?
Mutley, now THAT is a line right there. 🤣 Darkly funny…but also painfully true. Systems tend to canonize themselves eventually, don’t they? Otherwise they would have to confront the damage they cause. Thanks again my friend.🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Oh...and I can't resist...You've read it here, every June 6 at 6 pm it is Saint System's Feast Day Dinner. How do you plan to celebrate? 🤔🤣
I bet you feel a whole lot better having just spit that out .. I am now of the conclusion toxicity contaminates .. ▪️◾◼️⬛⚫🏴🐦⬛🐈⬛🖤💣🍊💩👎
Neville, hahaha…there definitely was a bit of emotional exorcism happening in this one. 🤣 Sometimes you hit the point where the only healthy thing left to do is spit the frustration onto the page instead of carrying it around internally all day. And yeah, “toxicity contaminates” is such a simple but brutally accurate way of putting it. That’s exactly the danger…after a while people stop noticing the air has gone bad because they’ve been breathing it too long. Thanks again, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
