My real prayer

marissa

Trusting in his faith

Losing apparitions

Whats with the discretion

Speak loud of his wisdom

Jesus is a name

Gaining highly fame

Named by his Lord mighty

Sleeping sound and tightly

I don’t need the spells

I don’t need repels

All i have is God

Praying high above

As above so below

Speaking highly of myself

Praying loudly as i wept

God almighty,my tears swept

Trusting in my faith

Without a distraction

I am now protected

And the devil i rejected

  • Comment from author about the poem: I have always believed there was a God.Althought the bible is a manufactured, continuously edited and manipulated book of the original narrative,God is not a story,God is us,God is our belief, and God can be a spiritual leader, not a physical person. We can all believe in whatever God we want, call him Buddha, call it the universe, call them a cult, but at the of the day God is within us and as long as you are open to belief of protection, you are welcome to call him your protector, your guardian and your friend. Belief mustn’t projected by pushing your word of God into the hands of those who aren’t willing to hear it,but it must be projected by doing the acts of which God intended us to do,and wether you believe that the bible is all true or some true,i believe that whoever i consider to be my God,it is my truth, and no one can take it away.As no one can take away your truth!

Marissa, this feels very raw and sincere to me. There’s a sense throughout the poem of someone trying to ground themselves spiritually in the middle of fear, confusion, and emotional struggle. That directness gives the piece its strength. Also, thank you for sharing your note alongside the poem. It honestly adds a whole deeper layer to the piece for me. What comes through most strongly is not rigid religion, but a deeply personal search for meaning, protection, truth, and inner grounding. I really respect the openness here...especially the idea that belief is shown not merely through words, but through how we live and treat others. Amen. Amen. Amen. There’s real sincerity in that. Powerful reflection, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
