Split In two.
Between sudden relief.
And endless heartache.
The more I feel hope.
The more anxiety pulls my reins.
If i don’t choose now.
To push in any direction.
I’ll be a broken shell on the shore.
The waves will crest.
Pull me in, wash me away.
Drifting in and out of the past.
I romanticize about it.
Now I’ve come to realize.
I didn’t give the love I wanted to.
Despite all of this you’ve stayed.
Split in two.
Like watching a dying star.
I have to make a choice.
Leave the familiar warmth.
Or be surrounded by the cold.
