A Rotten Core

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Sometimes just wonder, what am I here for?

Writing to awaken, Earth's got a rotten core.

I roam around the streets like a lost puppy,

Feel differently about life, since God touched me.

Truth is dismissed as those conspiracy theories,

X-Files, Fringe and Evil were more like docuseries.

Fantasy fiction or hidden truths serially portrayed?

The closet mindedness of most leaves me dismayed.

These things aren't supernatural, been happening since the beginning,

As long as we trust slimy politicians and propaganda they'll keep on winning.

A dystopian view that I tend to share of a world grown cold and manipulative. Well written
