moving beyond

Tristan Robert Lange

Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Life is full of seasons. This is a season of transition for me, where I will be moving with my family to a new location. As such, with much logistics to consider, I am doing my best to keep up. Please know if I accidentally don't respond, it is not because I am ghosting or becoming distant. Once things settle after the move, I am sure life will return to some normalcy. In the meantime, and always:

Tristan πŸŒΉπŸ–€πŸ™πŸ•―οΈπŸ¦β€β¬›
i see you there—
sitting...

there...

no hello,
no smile

no “hey, it’s been awhile,”

yes, it’s me you just saw,
but don’t let that gnaw

at your heart—
you played your part—

yet God came through—
shocked?—
there’s nothing you can do

you can’t say hi to me,
but by grace, I’m moving

beyond you.

  • Friendship

A powerful poem for me, been there. Your poem revolves around an encounter with someone from the past, emphasizing feelings of rejection, the weight of unspoken words, and the liberation that comes from self-acceptance and resilience.

Friendship, beautifully said, my friend. I really appreciate that you caught both the hurt and the resilience living side by side inside this little poem. It is not really about bitterness for me…it is about continuing to move forward by grace despite the silence. You really captured that. Much appreciation as always...and sorry that you've experienced this too...but in strange way...liberating....as you said. Thanks again. πŸŒ«οΈπŸ™πŸšΆπŸ–€

A poem of recognition without acknowledgement it leaves a cold feel and then the response that one is getting beyond that. Moving on is the thing to do.

Soren, thank you so much, my friend. I think you really captured the strange emotional contradiction within this piece…the wound of being seen yet emotionally erased at the same time. But yes, ultimately the poem leans toward movement rather than remaining frozen in that silence forever. Truly appreciate your thoughtful engagement as always. πŸŒ«οΈπŸ™πŸšΆπŸ–€

Thank you, Orchi, my friend. This one evidently wandered a little too far into the misty emotional countryside for Popeye to navigate safely. 🀣 Oh wait...somewhere in the distance I am sure I can hear a faint β€œah-guh-guh-guh-glug-glug...glug....glug...glug...glug” still echoing. 🌫️πŸ₯¬βš“πŸ–€πŸ™

Thank you, David. Sorry for the delayed reply...I'm in the midst of a move and playing catch-up. πŸ˜„ I'm glad the ending landed for you. Life has a funny way of taking us places we never expected. Grateful you stopped by, my friend. πŸ–€πŸ™πŸ¦‡πŸ¦β€β¬›

There’s a quiet strength in thisβ€”no bitterness, just someone walking forward without asking for acknowledgment.
Feels like closure earned the hard way… a steady grace that doesn’t need permission to keep moving.

                • Tristan Robert Lange

Thank you, Thomas. Sorry for the slow response...moving has had me running in every direction lately. πŸ˜„ I'm especially glad the sense of closure came through. That was very much at the heart of the piece. Always grateful for your thoughtful reflections, my friend. πŸ–€πŸ™πŸ¦‡πŸ¦β€β¬›

Sometimes the smile says it all.
I'm still here, still moving on.
Would love to chat, but I've got better things to do with my time.

                  • Tristan Robert Lange

Thank you, Paul. Sorry for the delayed reply...I'm in the middle of a move and have fallen a bit behind. πŸ˜„ Haha...I think there is definitely some of that energy in the poem. At a certain point, moving forward becomes more interesting than looking back. Always grateful for you stopping by, my friend. πŸ–€πŸ™πŸ¦‡πŸ¦β€β¬›
