Drink emotions down
Smiling all the while
Drown insinuations in acid
As the liver secretes bile
The corrosive concoction
Denied the spleen and gut
Now squeezed back up
Through the oesophagus
It permeates the brain
The lungs and heart
Infecting thoughts
And twisting art
Channel venom
Through your
Sacred quill
Distill, refine
Then let it spill
If insults
And accusations
Are too tough to digest
Feed the fire
Poke the pyre
Let the beast
Manifest

Although a bitter and sour concoction this poetic message is so well sent with rhyme and measure it deserves a fave. I have always felt strongly that true poetry is more than just beautiful words but emotion and this seems to have it
Thank you so much Sorenbarret. I draw inspiration from wherever I can when writing. This write is certainly not aimed at anyone and I can be rather paranoid due to using AI to create music tracks out of some of my poems (all my lyrics are original, I\'ve been writing since 2008) I\'m worried that some may think I use it for writing too. That\'s the price I\'ll have to pay though. I\'d like to make clear that no one has directly accused me or insinuated me. That's my paranoia working it\'s wicked magic 😂.
Peace and love to you and everyone. Thanks again for the favourite and for the regular comments and feedback on my writing.
