Malfunction Machine

Tristan Robert Lange

Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Life is full of seasons. This is a season of transition for me, where I will be moving with my family to a new location. As such, with much logistics to consider, I am doing my best to keep up. Please know if I accidentally don't respond, it is not because I am ghosting or becoming distant. Once things settle after the move, I am sure life will return to some normalcy. In the meantime, and always:

peace is in the heart?

yeah, i suppose,
that might be the start.

but

let me ask this—
to not I’d be remiss—

where do you
locate that very heart?

wait!—in the brain?
yes that’s plain!

and, again,
let’s not refrain
from asking this question,

why abstain?—

what happens if the brain
starts to act insane?
what if the part that

holds the heart

begins to malfunction,
regardless how off the chart?

what if the wires cross
sparking anxiety and loss—
depression to death, an albatross—

where, then, is peace found?

rather than wading unwound,
we must stand on solid ground
before ignorance is lost and

understanding found.

Doh! I gotta Think Light sometimes - well, most of the time really! lol. But can see the dark side of poems too, such as an ominous glug heard from the dark depths. We know who it is! lol.
