Now I've grown aware and familiar with their handshakes,
Those who scheme and plot against the uninitiated are snakes.
Witchcraft and oaths, ceremonies in grey smoke,
Eyes Wide Shut, who's under that red cloak?
Not a fan, secret societies should be banned,
Feel cursed but you've just been smacked by God's hand.

Good write SM.
Cheers.
Nothing secret about - we knows who! lol.
Lol.
A powerful statement and write that paints all secret societies as evil. Nicely written
Thank you.
You are most welcome Shaun
Shaun, you got me with this one. Part of me wants to say, "Aww...what would the fun in that be?" 🤣 Ironically, thought, that was pretty much the Roman argument against those secretive early Christians gathering behind closed doors. Funny thing is...these days we're often a lot closer to Rome than we'd care to admit. That said, underneath my humor, I truly do appreciate the concern brought forth in this poem, and that is no laughing matter. Power hidden from accountability has always made people uneasy...perhaps not enough...and you've captured that sharply. Wonderful write, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thanks pal, I guess what I'm trying to say is secret good is sometimes necessary but secret evil is bad, dunno if that makes my poem hypocritical lol.
Nicely done.
Thank you.
