FLOWERS vs PRICES

Durdica Porobija

Flowers have sprung from the mother earth
In the gentle cooperation of the soil and the radiant vault
In my garden, spring flowers do not ring bells
They are silent as I pass or wave shyly
Their eyes, large and silent, grow beside me
They look at me with their petals, they smile with their petals
I walk through the garden amidst spring flowers
I feel like a flower walking among flowers
Then I go to town and walk past shop windows
The displays look at me wide-eyed and provocatively
Some whistle rudely because I am not a serious buyer
Their dizzying prices make heads turn
They are aggressive, arrogant, growl like a beast in a cage
They show their teeth, mock me because I have a modest treasury
I don't care, things won't buy me
Still, I feel like an item with a price tag by the window
With a price that falls with my age
Soon they will put me on sale and on sale 30% 50%
Well, all together with me for 40 euros

I'm going back quickly to my garden among the spring flowers
They look at me with their petals silently waving shyly
I feel like a flower walking
Among the flowers

A stunning poem of a most powerful nature. Women on display and for sale or at least to put a price on or judge for beauty. We are a sexual society where sex is sold and marketed. Well done and a fave

Thank you very much for the positive critique! You have very lucidly penetrated the poem. I immensely liked your poem that begins with the line: I am a selfish pigeon who ... does not associate with the hawks of war (something like that), but I can no longer find it. I would like to comment on it a bit.

You are most welcome Durdica it is my pleasure. I remember the line but can not recall the title. I will look for it and if I can find it will let you know, I know it was relatively recent, within the past few months.
