How to navigate
civilization
in four steps:
Find a chair and
sit quietly.
Then, dismantle
the chair and use
the pieces to
build a ladder, for
a panoramic view.
Return to solid
ground, and
remake the chair.
Sit quietly.
Summer Solstice
The room is empty
except for an egg,
about to erupt
with life, as it is
sitting on a chair
in the passing sun.
We Dogs
There is no
one sitting
on the chair.
The dog
carefully
watches
the ball as
it slowly
rolls to
a stop, then
fixes her
attentive
eyes on the
chair. This is
the way we
dogs learn
to see
the self
as it
really is.
