June

lauraoverxo

June dipped it’s toes in the warm water, splashing it in flickers; Diving and dragging it with us

June wasnt a name or a place or a person, June was

just

unhappy

never

ending

June carried all of our expectations, especially the ones that were ridiculous

When June cried we moaned for sunlight

When Junes teardrops where dried, we moaned it was too hot

June came to the conclusion that we are famished, malnourished, and we do it to ourselves.

we stepped into June not knowing the line we’d crossed

I want you so badly, but I’m caught up with the crickets and the trees

June the first was the first time you told me you wanted me

i wanted you to say it again and again and again until it was punched into my skull.
I didn’t know I was starving until I tasted those words.
I found you in the back garden, you gave me your jacket and I took it to bed with me instead of you.

sometimes I could breathe you in like pollen on a sunny day in june.

I must learn to breath out when you tell me where you’ve been

and ask you if you where ever coming back to stay?

I knew you wouldnt

neither did june
