The Sun.

syeda

I love the sun

how it glitters on the sea, creating a shimmery river of golden sequins.

I love the sun

how it looks on the leaves outside the tree

the tree I can see from my dining table

the dining table that is always messy

I love the sun

how it makes me feel free when i walk beneath its warming embrace

how it never overpowers the wonderful cool air that enters my nostrils.

I love the sun

how it shines down on my mother's face. my beautiful mother who works too hard for a daughter who fights often with her. for a daughter who doesn't help much.

Thank God for the sun.
