Sad

boot

One's face presents an outer wall
Shades of dark...and none can see
Hidden eyes betray the cries...
Emotions scatter..in a blink

Love those glasses..

So concealing

Hiding.. that what's hurt inside
Reflecting.. what the outside wants
Why be it so ...t'is hard to show
We bury sorrow under stone

All feel alone...

When once at home

Solitude... grief's heavy shroud
Quilted...patterns passed along
All the world..so familiar
Songs of sadness...weary knitters

Soon enough..

They're passed along..

To you
