the road to unknowing

Tristan Robert Lange

Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Life is full of seasons. This is a season of transition for me, where I will be moving with my family to a new location. As such, with much logistics to consider, I am doing my best to keep up. Please know if I accidentally don't respond, it is not because I am ghosting or becoming distant. Once things settle after the move, I am sure life will return to some normalcy. In the meantime, and always:

Read 👓, Write ✍️, Rise 🌅, Realize 🤯.

Tristan 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
outside the door,
down the walkway
onto the winding road
twisting its way into
the apophatic night,
Odysseus heads out
for a midnight meet.

Achilles’ shade awaits.

Indeed Odyssues had quite a trip on a ship while Achilles had to see a pediatrist good write my friend

    • Tristan Robert Lange

Haha, Soren, poor Achilles. Odysseus gets an epic voyage through the underworld, and Achilles ends up needing podiatric care after centuries of standing around waiting for visitors. 😂 Glad you enjoyed it, my friend. 🌙⚔️🌊🖤

        Indeed my friend

      • Paul Bell

This is why I stay away from horses and protect my shins at all costs.
Beware of Greeks baring gifts come to mind.

        • Tristan Robert Lange

Haha, Paul, a healthy fear of horses and Greeks has probably saved many a shin throughout history. 😂 Sound advice, my friend. 🌙⚔️🌊🖤

          much enjoyed write

          I'm unknowing this - a spot of apophatic-ism. A non-existent word there? lol.
I dunno wot I'm on about. Popeye asks - is it related to spinach? He asks that about everything, of course! lol.

          • Tristan Robert Lange

Haha! Orchi, if apophaticism is related to spinach, then Popeye may have accidentally stumbled into some very advanced theology. 😂🥬🌙🖤

            • orchidee

The unknowing - we don't know what Popeye & Co. get up to - but yes, we do, but WCAT! lol.

Well written. Your poem focuses on a mythical journey into the depths of existence, where one encounters profound truths and specters of the past, as embodied by Achilles' shade.

              • Tristan Robert Lange

Thank you, Friendship. I think your reading fits beautifully. The poem may be small, but it points toward one of mythology's great journeys into mystery, memory, and understanding. Odysseus heads into the darkness seeking knowledge, and Achilles' shade becomes one of the voices waiting for him there. 🌙⚔️🌊🖤

And now my poem, inspired by your pic in this poem. It begins: 'Out of the night, A sound of gluggery, An ominous sound - We knows who it is...' Further verses mention Mr O.W. Kenobi and Ol' Tom. lol.

                • Tristan Robert Lange

Haha! Orchi, this sounds exactly like the sort of epic that needs to exist. 😂 A mysterious glug in the darkness, Popeye lurking nearby, Obi-Wan dispensing questionable wisdom, and Ol' Tom wandering in from parts unknown. Homer never saw it coming. 🌙⚔️🌊🖤

                  A meeting of sorts! 🤣

                • Mutley Ravishes

I like the title, the image of Bilbo setting out coming to mind, then I find out it's Odysseus!

                  • Tristan Robert Lange

Mutley, I love that. 😂 It does have a bit of a Hobbit kind of feel to it...until, yes...Odysseus and Achilles. But, in an alternate universe, maybe Bilbo is Odysseus! Who knows! LOL! Thanks for reading, my friend! 🌙⚔️🌊🖤

                    • Mutley Ravishes

                      🤣
