Welcome to America,
The land of the free.
Join in our Army,
So you can die for OUR country
For a pointless war
That should never have been.
Keep our country in riches
While millions die broke and penniless.
Where if you don't die,
They'll cast you aside,
Calling you useless.
You'll fight to survive,
Broken and homeless
You'll die any day.
Welcome to America.
We'll welcome you in.
Give US your tired,
Your poor and hungry masses.
We'll welcome you in,
As long as WE feel you're worthy,
That you'll give US everything,
That you'll die for OUR country,
Or as long as you have money.
Welcome to America,
Land of Hypocrisy.
Born on strict principles
That all MEN are equal,
That no MAN should be oppressed
Except for those WE don't accept.
Where OUR hatred is based
On the color of your skin,
The god you worship,
Or a man loving men.
Welcome to America.
Church and state keep to themselves.
Religion is a choice
No one can force.
Separating church and state
Is a must these days
Except when it benefits
US, the wealthy,
Your ruling class,
That buys officials
And doesn't pay fair tax.
Welcome to America.
Pursue the American Dream:
Work yourself to death
For the illusion that you're free.

This American dream sounds exactly like the British dream.
The rich get richer, the poor die.
The bite of cynicism chews through this poem with statements that are hard to refute. America has grown fat and lazy and those that don't fit get thrown out. Well written
Well, that's one side of the coin for sure........
A fierce polemical coldness !
