Timeline Trauma

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

We swear that things happened but told they didn't,

Can feel all of those changes being made in my spirit.

It's much deeper than those mentioned Mandela effects,

Timeline trauma from what didn't happen, feeling vexed.

The multiverse is collapsing and merging into one stream,

Having strange occurrences late at night when I dream.

Seeing things that didn't happen and people no longer in my life,

Landscapes of uncertainty, fight with fists while cowards use a knife.

Good write SM. Aww, why they say E.T. is among 'seeing things that didn't happen'? He did happen, but he's gone home. lol.

Shaun, what struck me most is the idea of "timeline trauma." Whether taken literally or metaphorically, it’s a fascinating phrase because it captures the experience of feeling disconnected from what once seemed certain. That concept carries a lot of weight throughout the poem. Beautifully done, my friend. πŸŒΉπŸ–€πŸ™πŸ•―οΈπŸ¦β€β¬›
