Ache

John Edward Smith Jr.

I've an ache inside my head
too far back to reach
and this thing I can't grasp
is the only thing I keep-
the tiny moths of undying decay
                                     flower before my touch
                                                  just black rainbows
       this is madness
                                         so  dispose of your hope
                                     or I'll do it myself
          just as quickly
    twice as hard
                          all over you

Painful and threatening it speaks of darkness. Well done
