A Last Time for Everything

GenXer Sharon 🙏🍀

There’s a last time for everything isn’t there? The last time you hang out with mom and dad. The last time you hug them. You just didn’t know then; it’s not that you didn’t care. A last time you and your friends from school catch up on old times. You loved them deeply. You cared. You just didn’t know it was goodbye. There’s never a last time with God. He’s with you day by day. His mercies are new every morning. He wipes our tears away. A last time to say what you need to say. You didn’t know it at the time. You thought you had one more day. While we are here in this world with our family and friends; all we can do is try to have those tough conversations. You never know when the last time will be; hold onto your Faith and allow the Holy Spirit to flow through you naturally.

Yes, good write GS. But - Boo hoo! Me last time with KP never comes. She's always there. Well, when not out having publicity on TV, radio, magazines, newspapers, anywhere.... So - she's hardly home anyway. lol.

I got no chance of seeing her for the last time. Wherever I look, she's there - in person, in papers, on TV, etc. lol.

Take the time and opportunity to speak to someone while the chance is available for one never knows when that chance may no longer be available. Well written Sharon

Sharon, this really moved me. What stays with me is the reminder that so many important moments pass without announcing themselves as final. The piece gently encourages gratitude, honesty, and presence while also pointing toward the comfort of faith. It is both sobering and reassuring at the same time. Beautiful work, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
