Tune: Deus Tuorum Militum
('Awake, awake, fling off the night')
Ephesians 5 v.13-17
********
All things that are so reproved they
Are manifest in light of day
Things of darkness shall exposed be
No longer hidden secretly
For whatsoever does reveal
Is light, and nought it does conceal
Wherefore it is said, Awake, you
That sleep, arise from the dead true
And Christ shall give you light, so see
That you walk, live, circumspectly
Carefully, not as fools, but wise
What is pleasing in the Lord's eyes
Redeeming the time, for the day
Are evil with devious ways
So be not unwise, understand
What the Lord's will is, His good hand* (*His Spirit)

A lovely hymn or poem Orchi. As always nicely composed and so good to hear you back again
Thank you SB. It was KP cut me orf cos I kept dishing her up the sewage. lol.
You are most welcome my friend glad you broke free
Orchi, this really moved me. The call to awaken, walk wisely, and make good use of the time we are given comes through beautifully. Though I must confess I now picture Popeyeus Glug Maximus Solus awakening from a sacred nap beneath the Tree of Psalm One, discovering that the Unglugly have hidden the Spinach Spirulina Scrolls in darkness. It was between that or Cherry Garcia...but fear not! For the Light revealeth all things...and thus the Great Glug Retrieval commenceth. Wonderful work, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
A glugging thank you T.
