When we go out on our own in this journey called life; we’ve forgotten one thing; staying rooted in the vine. We’re making decisions based on what we think will work best. Never grasping all the while the gift of free will; and this ever failing test. When plan A doesn’t work we have plan B and C. Forgetting He’s the vine as His word says “remain in me.” Maybe one has never picked up the word of truth. You may have seen it on dresser in someone else’s room. Or maybe you read it and have since fallen away. He still loves and cares for you; so let today be the day! Our lives cannot be lived fully without remaining in the Vine. It’s been proven throughout many lives; yes including mine. I’m the first to admit I made my fair share of mistakes. One thing I’ve learned; nothings more powerful than Faith. I’m not trying to change your mind for that’s a job for God. I just ask one question; it’s life without Him hard? That’s not to say it will be easier once you turn to Him; it will become more bearable as you learn many lessons. To remain in the vine is one of many things He asks; let go of hurt; return to Him; take off your worn out mask. Allow Him to heal you from the inside out; use your story to help others out of the fog of doubt.

Good write GS. Someone got a bit annoyed at a line of hymn 'Keep us abiding in you (the Vine)'. He said WE have to keep ourselves abiding in the vine - though God helps us to keep abiding as well, surely.
Thank you Orchiee
Sharon, this really moved me. What stays with me is the spirit of invitation running throughout the piece. Rather than speaking from a place of certainty alone, you write from personal experience, acknowledging missteps and lessons learned along the way. The recurring image of remaining in the Vine beautifully ties together the themes of faith, healing, perseverance, and grace. Wonderful work, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thank you Tristan
Nicely written Sharon this plea to trust in a higher power I myself used to ask people to do. Well written
Thank you 🙏
You are most welcome Sharon
