Keep Living

Mercy Robert

Keep living,
not because the pain is small,
not because the hunger is imagined,
not because the system is fair,
not because tomorrow has sent you a guarantee,
but because your breath is still a protest,
your courage is still a weapon,
your survival is still a testimony
that hardship did not bury you.
