The Space I Keep

Isha Malhotra

There’s a space I keep for nothing,
not sadness, not regret, not sound,
just a quiet kind of waiting
where I let my thoughts slow down.

Not every feeling needs a reason,
not every answer needs a name,
some days I simply sit with time
and let it be without the game.

And in that empty kind of stillness,
I find myself without disguise—
not lost, not found, just simply here,
beneath a pair of honest skies

If these thoughts speak to you, you might enjoy some of the pieces on Shayarii World.

We all need that space from time to time and there are those that occupy it at all times. Very nicely written.
