You are the shore,
And I… just another wave breaking at your feet.
We meet at the edge of the world,
Yet the wish to stay remained unfulfilled...
There may be a thousand tides that crash against your sand,
But I looked only for you —
And for me, you were the only solid ground.
Your memory pulls me back to you every single night,
And I, like a helpless tide, keep returning —
Reaching for your touch,
For centuries…
But destiny had written something else —
Neither could you step into the deep, nor could I stay on land.
Between you and me lies a distance,
As vast as the helplessness between the ocean and the earth…
Once, I dreamt
Of pulling you into the deep blue,
And drowning together where the world couldn't find us...
But between you and me lies a silence,
That never breaks,
Only retreats — without making a sound...
Between you and me is a distance like that of the shore and the wave,
You are the steady ground...
And I, just one of those countless tides that break…
In your lifetime, there may be thousands of storms that touch you,
But…
Will they ever wash away your pain the way I was meant to, in every lifetime?
Will they ever understand your quiet sands?
The heavy secrets hidden in your cliffs?
The coldness behind your steady surface?
If you ask…
I will pull back the entire ocean,
I’ll let the deep swallow me whole...
But listen —
If your cliffs ever crumble,
Call my name...
—
Even the driest desert
will turn into a raging sea,
Just to hold you up.

- Comment from author about the poem: A Note from My Sky to Yours Welcome to this quiet corner of the universe. I have always believed that the most profound emotions are the ones we leave unsaid—the unspoken songs in our eyes, the heavy silence between heartbeats, and the deep, unseen distances that connect us all. Like the moon watching its star or the shore waiting for its wave, these verses are my rawest way of reaching out into the dark. I write for the souls who feel deeply, love unconditionally, and know what it means to look at the sky and miss someone. Thank you for stepping into my world. I hope you find a piece of your own unspoken story hidden between my lines.
