- Comment from author about the poem: People that are critical of others often are out of projection due to the way they view themselves. It's easy for a hateful person to call others hateful and it's especially easy for someone who brings pain to people to accuse of others of doing the same. Sometimes, the accusation is actually a confession. As a poet, you risk being judged for the lengths you'll go to express yourself. Art leaves you vulnerable and keeps you open to scrutiny and unkindness. Don't let that get in the way of your art, as the hate you receive says a lot more about the haters than it does about you as a person.
