This isn't really a poem,
Every time i try to write one of those,
It never seems to work out right.
The backspace worn down after all of the words erased,
All of the thoughts wiped,
It has always felt like a waste.
I spend hours typing,
My backing aching,
My brain cracking,
Because this isn't really a poem.
It's just the words I couldn't find another place for,
The sounds that couldn't get out of my mouth,
Yet it always ends up being a bore.
Trying to find words to make sense of everything i cant,
But it always ends up looking like a mess,
Because this isn't really a poem.
Its short and sloppy,
And i can never make the words rhyme right,
And all I think about is how dumb I sound
So this isn't really a poem,
And I'm not really a poet,
Then what is this?
And what am I?

A poem it is and makes one think about what a poem really is. A word an emotion put into words, rhyme, a sound with meter. What is a poem? Well done
