The Devil's Prometheus

RSM0812

The devil breathes but fire, his lungs are full of flame,

What put you there, desire, of life and sinful ways.

The torture you'll endure, will teach you of this life,

How sinful you have dwelled, with virtue and your vice.

Upon your knees you'll beg, for satin’s empathy,

Although he has none where, his head and heart should be.

Instead a hollow angel, without a halo hung,

Above his head, it fell and died,

When Satan found his home.

He fell from up in heaven, for defending mankind's souls.

Yet God beseeched his children, as they broke the saintly rules.

Rewarded by his grace, the devil will but give,

A fleeting time of peace, after sinning when you live.

But then upon the flame, the peace will not endure,

The flesh upon your bones, the pain there is no cure.

He’ll feed upon your ashes, as darkness breaths the black.

And life as you once knew it, never will come back.

So heed the lessons prophets spoke,

About each moment true, in life one must pracfice compromise,

And share the worlds hue.

For hence if evil lurks within, your thoughts of one another.

In hell eternal you’ve always been, your soul to only smother.

A poetic warning of destruction. Biblically metaphoric it sends its message. Well done
