Life And Death (Heaven Or Hell)

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Life, living the best we can, sharing moments,

Inspirational views and trying to keep focus.

Forging an individual path ahead, maintaining,

Emerge from opposition, avoid what's draining.

Ascending, falling or nothing, purgatory?

Not knowing where to go, just a vivid story,

Did whom or what receive the praised glory?

Disintegrated body, burnt back into oblivion,

Everyone, eventually leaves this global prison.

Atomised by ash and returning into the dust,

Time flashes before our eyes without fuss,

Heaven or Hell, who wants to accept us?

Shaun, what a thought-provoking piece. I like how it moves from the everyday work of living and finding one's way into those larger questions that eventually catch up with all of us. Whether certainty comes or not, the search itself feels very familiar. Really enjoyed this one, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
