Alliteration's addiction

sorenbarrett

Wooded wonders, wild walks wend with winding ways
Flowering flora find fascination from flaxen folded frays
Bound by beautiful betraying billows bright burning blaze
Hooded hookah heaven's hangover hell's heavy haze
Smothering smoke smells sweet sending seductive sprays
Addiction's alluring answer adds adulterous arrays
Delivering dark dancing delight during drunken days

One could be going through alphabet madness.
I'm liking the adulterous ways, with dark dancing delight during drunken days coming a close second.

Thank you Paul for the read and comment. Yes one can get drunk on more than alcohol.

Your poem explores the theme of addiction, particularly the allure and consequences associated with substance use. It reflects on the seductive nature of addiction, portraying it as an enticing yet destructive experience. Your imagery evokes both the beauty and the darkness of addiction, emphasizing how it entraps individuals in a cycle of pleasure and pain.

Soren, what a ride. The musicality pulls everything along beautifully, but beneath it all thereโ€™s a growing sense that the destination isnโ€™t nearly as pleasant as the journey first appears. Dark, vivid, and memorable, my friend. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›
