Spineless Girl

maydanae

Spineless girl

Hospital Bed Bouquet

A send-away

The stems droop with her body

Petals fall with her skin

Still romantic girl

In spite of it all.

Of the breaks

And the fractures

Against doctors wishes

Tending to wounds

Made up of epoxy and glue

Using parts of her own

Tuna can with the bones

And as it turns out

you can't really move without a fucking spine

Really snappy ending that almost takes away from the feeling woven in these words
"Of the breaks and the fractures "
    Really hit hard as well
    Thoroughly enjoyed

This poem evokes feelings of pity and sadness the image of a young woman broken in bed with more ailments than one can be expected to endure. Well imaged it calls out with anger for such misfortune. Nicely written
