Hate is like electricity
Following the path of least resistance
Arcing through a Neanderthal mind
Like a lightning bolt in an instant
Anger is infectious
Viciousness stuck in a loop
It contaminates and impregnates
Like mould on rotten fruit
Prejudice is a pollutant
Toxic, noxious and corrosive
Mixing with hate and anger
Touch paper igniting the explosives
Love is the blood of life
Irrigating like the Amazon basin
The sparkplug of the heart
Synapses firing in imagination
Wisdom washes surfaces clean
Quenching hot tarmac in the rain
Hostility and resentment becoming
The loathsome beasts slain
Acceptance couples with love
Buttercups blooming on a barren lawn
The building blocks of tolerance
Radiant rainbows after electrical storms
Peace is natural balance
Plankton blooms in oceans of tranquillity
Every human possesses this trait
Exercise and preach this loving ability
Everyone has critics
Sharp pain on exposed nerves
Keep creating, persevering
Weaving rhymes and verse
Luminescent lightning flashes
From dark clouds that seem so threatening
Solitude can be so lonely
Silence can be deafening
