If I could see in
the eyes of my mother
and her tinted,
cracked glasses
If I could see in
the eyes of my mother
and her love
for my nose
If I could walk in
the mind of my mother
and her withered,
white roses
If I could walk in
the mind of my mother
and nurture
her garden
If I could swim in
the sweat of my mother
and taste what
she worked for
If I could swim in
the tears of my mother
and see my
own shoulder
When I could walk in
the mind of my mother
I saw her
fenced meadow
When I could swim in
the tears of my mother
I could see
my own eyes
When I could see in
the eyes of my mother
she was as
young as me
