samba mamba

Tristan Robert Lange

Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Life is full of seasons. This is a season of transition for me, where I will be moving with my family to a new location. As such, with much logistics to consider, I am doing my best to keep up. Please know if I accidentally don't respond, it is not because I am ghosting or becoming distant. Once things settle after the move, I am sure life will return to some normalcy. In the meantime, and always:

Looks a bit like Obi - yes? no?! lol.

Oi be, Orchi, now that you mention it...I can't entirely unsee it! πŸ˜‚ The glasses certainly aren't helping my case any. Anywho, I suspect Obi-Wan was slightly less likely to strut through a neon city in heels with a giant snake wrapped around the streetlights. πŸ˜†πŸπŸ’ƒπŸ–€

Comments going off at bizarre tangents - I thought Ol'Tom was knitting that long 'sock' for a snake. lol. What ARE we talking about? We have to ask WCAT, which never tells us!

Tristan when I took ballroom dancing the samba was the first dance I wanted to learn and my wife and I did only to be disappointed after hundreds of hours to master it to find it is not the street samba they do in Brazil. I have tried to learn that one also but don't consider myself proficient. A fun poem reminiscent of the disco days that I lived through and danced the night away. Well done my friend you brought back some nostalgia

Soren, I had no idea there was such a distinction between ballroom samba and the street samba danced in Brazil! Hundreds of hours invested only to discover you'd mastered a different branch of the family tree...that had to be both impressive and a little frustrating. πŸ˜„ I'm delighted this brought back some of those disco-era memories for you, my friend. πŸ•ΊπŸ’ƒπŸ–€

For you younger guys it was during the disco era that my wife and I took those lessons and danced disco. Some would say it was a strange time but it was good.

Yay! I love that you heard music in it. The poem is only a handful of lines, but I wanted each phrase to bounce into the next like steps crossing a dance floor. Thank you so much, my friend! πŸ˜†πŸπŸ’ƒπŸ–€

Norman, thank you, my friend. I'm grateful you found it both enjoyable and memorable. Sometimes a poem simply wants to have a little fun, and this one definitely did. πŸŒΉπŸ–€πŸ™πŸπŸ’ƒ

                    most welcome, a fun read

                  • Friendship

Well said, my friend. Your words capture a vibrant and playful essence of femininity and empowerment, mixing elements of seduction and strength. It portrays a character who embraces her allure and confidence, using fashion as a form of expression. The repeated calls to "kiss me, mama!" suggest a yearning for affection and recognition, blending sensuality with a familial bond.

Friendship, thank you so much! I always enjoy reading your reflections because you look beneath the surface and share what the poem stirred in you. I especially appreciate your observations about confidence and self-expression. Those qualities were certainly dancing around while this poem came together. I'm grateful you took the time to walk through this one with me. πŸŒΉπŸ–€πŸ™πŸπŸ’ƒ
