“Why me? Of all of Eden’s animals

Why did God let me be the first to be

An evil animal in Paradise?

Particularly ‘Why’ because was I

Not claimed to be the most intelligent

Among all living things created by

Jehovah God: great whales, and fowl, and beasts,

And every cattle, creeping thing on Earth?

Permit me here a Bible quote. Of course

Approximately accurate, me being

Mere Serpent beast created dumb by God

Jehovah’s plan for perfect Paradise:

“Among Jehovah’s beasts in Paradise

The Serpent was most subtil of them all.”

And there is not a shred of evidence

That God Jehovah gave to any beast

His very own divine ability

To speak. Indeed, in all eternity,

The first speech heard were words were spoke by God

Himself; words that were there before God was.

Permit me here a Bible quote. Of course,

Approximately accurate, me being

Mere Serpent beast created dumb by God

Jehovah’s plan for perfect Paradise:

“Beginnings were, forever are, in words

Unspoken. God Jehovah was the first

Word spoke itself into Almighty God.”

All animals in Paradise were by

Jehovah’s spoken words created to

Be speechless dumb on that sixth final day;

That very same sixth day, Jehovah God

Did make, by mixing soil with His own spit

With His own breath, what He did name a “Man.”

And with that Man, Jehovah God did share

His own divinity of spoken words

By which He did create Himself a God.

Permit me here a Bible quote. Of course,

Not accurate entirely, me being

Mere Serpent beast created dumb by God

Jehovah’s plan for perfect Paradise:

“Jehovah God did bring each beast and fowl

Unto that Man for him to give a name.

And whatsoever name that Man did call

That beast, that fowl; that was the name thereof.”

In other words, before I, Serpent, spoke

My words in Paradise from deepest of

My inner self, all words were spoken in

Eternity, were spoke by only God

And by that only Man who, like an ape,

Mere mimicked God. And then I dared intrude.

I, Serpent, dared to be the third in all

Eternity to speak; and daringly,

To speak, first, by mine own intelligence;

And, second, by mine own ability;

Each far away from, independently

Of God! My independence must have made

Jehovah God a jealous God. Of course

Expected since Himself He did declare,

Gratuitously at the time, please note,

Most threateningly, He’s a jealous God.

Permit me here a Bible quote. Of course,

Not accurate entirely, me being

Mere Serpent beast created dumb by God

Jehovah’s plan for perfect Paradise:

“I am the Lord thy God, a jealous God,

Jehovah, visiting iniquity

On fathers who do not obey; and on

Their families four generations down.”
