The Mask
Within every person
lives a child.
With age,
they learn to wear
the mask of maturity.
Until one day,
before a mirror,
they no longer recognize it
as a mask-
only as their face.

We often grow into our masks. Well written
When we look at ourselves in the mirror, with passing time, we wonder if it's really us... The ravages of time...
Great comment
The transformation of a living face into a mask gradually, with gradation - well done.
